Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The R5 Mark II was launched at a markedly lower price (by 34 percent) than the D4S, which puts it into a different market segment. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but can also record movies.
