Any camera decision will naturally be influenced heavily by the price. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The D610 was launched at a markedly lower price (by 54 percent) than the R5 Mark II, which puts it into a different market segment. Many modern cameras are not only capable of taking still images, but also of capturing video footage.
